Meet Your Coach

Taught by a man who's actually played this game — for a living.

Coach Prentice Bell didn't learn basketball from a textbook. He played it at the college level, then took it overseas and played professionally in five countries — learning what it really takes to earn minutes, keep a job, and compete against grown men every single night.

Now, for more than 10 years, he's been bringing that same standard home to young players: the footwork, the preparation, the discipline, and the work ethic the pro game demands — taught in a way kids can understand, and built the right way, from the ground up.

That's the difference at Ground Up Training. Your child isn't just running drills. They're learning the game from someone who has lived it at every level they're dreaming about.

Why families train with us during the season

Once school ball starts, the older players scatter — practices, games, homework. Younger players get left waiting for "next season." We built this program so they don't have to wait.

A consistent home base

Same evenings, same place, every week. Weekday training becomes part of your child's routine — not something you have to chase down.

Built for younger players

Groups for ages 7–10, 11–14, and 15 & up, each coached at their level. Fundamentals first for the young ones, advanced work for the older players — nobody gets left out.

More than basketball

Ground Up Training develops the whole player — maturity, accountability, and leadership alongside skill development and game readiness.

Weekly schedule — weekday evenings

Training runs every weekday evening for ages 7 and up. Players are grouped on the court by age and level — pick the days that fit your membership, and show up ready to work.
